She actually did walk out the back door and through the gate onto the driveway. Then declared,"Okay. I changed my mind. I guess I'll stay here." Then she cleaned up her stuff and went about her day.
You were confusing the poor child with you don't speak Spanish, you don't know who to look for and its too far to walk. I did like the you have to clean your room in Guatemala too! She will like seeing that when she has kiddos' of her own!
